This is a very sought after book. It has 259 pages including many full colour photos of quality specimens from the mines of Broken Hill. It was published by Australian Mining & Smelting Limited Melbourne to commemorate the centenary of mining operations in Australia’s most famous mineral deposit, and to pay tribute to the late Sir Maurice Mawby. The Minerals of Broken Hill book content includes: The History; Minerals of the Primary Ore; Minerals of the Secondary Ore; The Minerals; and Summary of Mineral Data. Contributors include Dr W. D. (Bill) Birch, Albert Chapman, Prof Geoffrey Blainey AO, and Dr Ian Plimer.
